gotcha, thanks. I figured around May r June time, so that's great. When you say done, do you mean *done*, ie I'll have my visa packet to take through the US border?

(I know you're just giving me estimates and stuff; just going a bit mental over here :D)

Yes, if your visa is approved on the day of interview, you will receive the passport with visa stamped and other documentation in 3-4 days from the day of interview.

Hi,

My case was approved from USCIS on Dec 16. I keep calling NVC to ask if they have received my case yet... they keep saying give it 6 weeks.
Does it usually really take 6 weeks? Or more? And whats after that?

TSC is usually taking 1 month to send your file to NVC. When you check your case status on USCIS website does it say case sent to NVC for processing? Also after NVC receives your case it will take another week to put into their system and couple of days after that to get your case number. I would say by end of January your case should be at NVC

My case status online unfortunately still hasn't updated to "approved" yet. It still is on "case was received may 8"

I only received a letter in the mail with an approval notice date of Dec 16.

Does this mean there is a problem that it hasn't updated online?

This likely means that your case is still at TSC and has not been sent to NVC

I was in same situation, it took TSC exactly 30 days to send case to NVC. My status was also just case received, until they sent it to NVC then it changed to case sent to state department.

I would say give it a week, it should be sent anytime soon since it has been exactly one month and two days since your approval. If your status doesn't change online by next week give USCIS a call and speak to tier 2 officer who will put in a support request to look into your case.

I just called USCIS and they said that I have to wait at least 90 days and then I can do something about it...

This is driving me crazy

Did you speak to tier 2 officer? Request to speak with tier 2, only they can give you some meaningful information.

Like I said before I think your stats should change online before the end of the month.
