Now I'm worried, because when I called on Tuesday, the man asked me the day I filled the DS260, so it does not appear immediately in my case, he had to search the system to see and said yes, that was fine, but I'm worried that not attached to my documents... now I'm on call waiting, let's see what they say...

It has been more than six weeks for us after the i130 approval, and when we called NVC it asked us to write an email to them, so they can contact USCIS to find out why they haven't received it yet.

Has anyone faced the same situation before, and can anyone tell how much time could it take from now onwards?

Hi,

you are not alone in this.

my i130 was approved on DEC 1st and till now nvc has not received my file.

my husband called and they asked him to send a mail to them and attach a copy of our noa2.

but then, they also said it could take up to 2 weeks after they receive from uscis for it to show on their system.

by jan 29, if they still don't have it they said they'll give us further instructions on what to do.

in the meantime, we will keep calling them every day till we hear something.

Hang in there.. we waited months for uscis. we will get through this.

Anyone came across this scenario??

So i received invoice for IV fee Monday night. I paid on Tuesday morning and it showed as "in process". Tuesday night i again received an email for IV fee. I checked Wednesday morning and IV was showing as pending (normal for a transaction) in my bank account. But when i logged into nvc system it showed as "pay now". I dont want to pay again when is showing as pending. I called nvc and they say give it a week. Anyone cane across this issue?  Thanks

I know how you feel. I keep calling and making sure that since our DS260 was not showing wouldn’t push us back but they keep saying we received your documents 12/7 and you are within the time frame of 11 weeks. I even asked today why people with scan dates after the 7th are getting case completes but she replied she understands but I still have to wait the 11 weeks.

There's no waiting time for visa availability for spousal visa, however, the US Embassy from where the beneficiary is may be full thus, you may have to wait for the earliest available appointment for interview which could take weeks or months :)

Out of interest, does anybody here have any reliable info on roughly how long the whole process will now take from NVC to eventual green card? From the Wikis I've read here on Visa Journey, I'm expecting 2-4 months to get my interview date, from the time NVC assigns a case number.

Does that sound about right? And, from there, any ideas on timings? That part seems especially hazy...

2-3 months at NVC + 2 months from case close to interview being done. So you are looking at 4 months at minimum to 6 months maximum.

gotcha, thanks. I figured around May r June time, so that's great. When you say done, do you mean *done*, ie I'll have my visa packet to take through the US border?

(I know you're just giving me estimates and stuff; just going a bit mental over here :D)
