NVC Filers - January 2018

Sometimes too much information is a bad thing. Yesterday I called NVC to get our case # (it had been 2 weeks since they received it) and was told it was in line to be assigned that night. Today, she says no updates and still awaiting data entry, and to call back next week to give it 3 weeks. I know there's much more waiting to be done! I am impatient, what can I say.

Hey guys,

 

I think I got CC but I need to call at 9:00PM to confirm.

 

My first SD is Nov 22 2017 then I realized I typed my wife's DOB wrong on the AOS. Instead of 09/13/1993, I typed 09/13/2017. I think it was caused by the form date picker. Anyway, I submitted another form quickly when I found out and the second scan date was Dec, 11 2017.

 

My status changed today to at NVC and my AOS went away so I think I got CC but I will confirm and update you guys at 9:00PM EST

Omg that’s less than 6 weeks. I got a checklist too so I’m praying i get a Cc Sooner than 6 weeks.... so happy to hear your good news.

Yay !! Congratulations to you before you call to confirm, cox I’m pretty sure it’s a CC 🎉🎉 Happy for you!

Thanksss!! I’m praying about it. My one year anniversary is next month so I’m praying for a miracle to be with my hubby by then.

I never got a checklist. I just found the error and fixed it myself. Also, I have called to confirm CC.

Hi guys...So I finally was able to get police clearance and I sent it to NVC 8 weeks after the AOS and IV packet was sent and when I called NVC to make sure they received police clearance they said they received it and told me my 11 weeks start over, is that true did i just lose 8 weeks

Unfortunately it's true. It's called a 2nd scan date, however most people get their CC between 4-6 weeks.

 

Just keep hoping for the earliest date and don't stop calling to check on it's status.

How many days after you submit ds261 you can pay AOS fee ? Do you have to wait for welcome email for reps to be able to review on phone ?
