I mean are they freaking serious. They should be able to find a quicker way to handle some of these checklists. So annoying.  I’m really sorry you have to go through this. Smh!!!

Oh no...I’m so sorry about that. You would think for that they would just let you date it and get your case complete.

How exactly do you find out if you got a checklist? Does the status change or something on the site where you go to see if you've got a Case Complete?

I’m not sure about the checklist of how you find out about it? But if you get a case complete then usually your status changes from submit required documents to at NVC.

I had checklist too so I can answer you. They send you an email stating what you are missing or what mistake you made. They are pretty clear in the email. There are false checklists too but if you get one ,stating detailed about what’s missing it’s real one. False ones know to come mostly after CC...Status on ceas site stays the same , till its cc when it changes to “at nvc”.

Our new SD is Dec 28th so hope we get CC by end of January /begin of February. Our old SD was Nov 16th and we got checklist after 5weeks.

I'm a bit worried, seems like everyone got a CC or checklist within a few weeks but ive heard nothing..

Has anyone gotten an expedite done?

We had an expedite approved by embassy only once NVC approves all documents.. I called about the case a few days ago and they said since senator was involved in expedite the case was sent to a different department to handle and that they look over files more quickly.

 

But we are 8 weeks in now and no update, instead people around our SD are already getting a CC or checklist.. I wonder if our file out misplaced in that ither department?

I called today to ask about it but the guy was pretty rude and jist said to wait 11 weeks.. 

 

Any information would be helpful.. Thanks

Ok sounds good. Thanks for the help!

I would call again. Sometimes you get nicer reps. But I would call and ask because I have been told that my DS-260 form doesn’t show as complete on their system and they put it in for a supervisor. I would just check that they show that completed for you.

Okay, I will try calling them again, they just scare me Lol! 

But i do wonder if there is a mix up since my file was sent to a totally different department that apparently only handles senator/expedited cases.

I understand but remember that is their job. Also one rep told me it’s your case. You can call anytime to check on it.

So I just called and got the same basic answer except she did say she doesn't understand why it's taking so long because that department is supposed to be faster but to just be patient because they ate for sure still looking the case over. 

 

So let's see..
