No scan date is when they receive your AOS and IV documents and put them in their system. Sometimes it takes a couple of days after they receive them in the mail.

Ok so I called NVC again and the guy was great but it seems there is an issue. They show our documents being received but it’s not showing in their system that we filled out the DS-260 form. I told him that we filled that out before we even mailed the documents. He said it shows on the CEAC website that I log into but not on theirs. He said that’s problem since they won’t review our documents but he said he will send it to a supervisor to have that fixed. 

The same thing happened to me.  Every time i would call they would ask have you submitted your DS 260? Of course i had and then finally I called and a lady said it went to the review department so there must be a glitch or something. Who knows! Hopefully everything is ok!

Hi all! 

I'm new to this thread. 
My case was approved on December 16, 2017 from USCIS but NVC still hasn't received my case yet...

 
How long after approval do they usually receive it and assign a case number? How will I find out?

It usually takes 10 - 14 business days for NVC to receive if there's no issue. However keep calling them to check if they have received it. They usually assign case number 2-3 business days after your case has been received.

Check again the next day. usually takes 1-2 business days.

How long have you been waiting? Do you know the average wait time after a second scan date? 

 

Our second scan date is the 8th of Jan  and I’m hoping it doesn’t take too long. I’m officially out of patience
