Yes average 6 weeks and if you are lucky 4 weeks

They said yesterday they got my case, but now need 4-5 weeks to assign the case number. When should i start calling, after 2 weeks?

I don't get whats taking so long.. We got an expedite from the Embassy in Pakistan but they said they would only expedite if NVC cleared all documents.. Senator even contacted NVC twice now asking what the delay is but they give the answer "we take up to 11 weeks.."

Hoping we all hear good news soon.

Hi! 

 

Did you mean NVC just received your packet from USCIS? If so, then your are not yet in the "Case Complete" queue. From the date NVC received your case it usually takes less than a week to add a Case Number.

 

if you are about to get your case #, it means that you haven't either pay your fees or submitted forms DS 261 or DS260. You'll need to complete these steps (refer to the guide on the 1st post of this thread), in order to be able to send the IV packet to NVC. Then you'll be waiting for case complete.

Its vary from country to country and when interview schedule available for certain embassy
