Hi everyone I have a question, I received an email with a reminder to complete my ds260 is that considered a checklist?.. my lawyer sent my docs first and eventually competed ds260 about 4 weeks after

I think you should call NVC to confirm.. Probably they didn't get the ds260 early

Question, can the fee payment portal become inactive if no activity is not engaged? Last week after choosing agent, the fee payment button became active but we didn't pay immediately, today I couldn't access the fee payment button.. Any input, kindly appreciate.

I had NO2 on 9th November, but no case received by NVC now. They say it takes 6 weeks to transfer, and 2 weeks to assign case number.

Any other November NO2s here who have a case number already?

I had my NOA2 November 8. NVC got my case November 24. We called December 8 and got the case number. A couple of days later we could pay our fees. We where in Nebraska.

I have observed that services such as yours take a long time to assign numbers while Nebraska cases get their NVC numbers assign quickly. It could be their way of making up for the long wait cases take to process at Nebraska. I hope you get your numbers soon.

NVC received our case december 22. Waiting for a case number will call this week again. hopefully will have one.

Sent docs Nov 1st and completed ds260 on Dec 4th..Not sure if they give a scan date till everything's completed

If you have your case number and invoice number, you should able to check whether you lawyer have submitted your DS-260 through bellow link

Otherwise, check with your lawyer about the issue, since he is the one dealing with your paperwork

Can I use the marriage certificate that I used for the I130 or do I have to get another one?

You can ask your lawyer about your scan date or call nvc with your case number (just for your peace of mind) and get the scan date. In the nvc stage, you need to be bit more proactive, don't rely too much on lawyer. Remember that lawyer might deals with more than one case.So, it is your responsibility to follow up with your case.

why do you want to use a different marriage certificate? did you submit the original copy to USCIS?
