I am the beneficiary and i received a case complete on 1/17/2018. I have a few concerns. I am from Ghana and my husband is a USC.

I initially moved to the US back in 200. My step father was filling for me, we were beneficiaries under my mother. Long story short it just never worked out, and they got divorced. When my mother went for her final interview she got denied. However we never received any emails or letter in the mail. I met my husband in college in 2009 but we never dated until 2015. We have been inseparable ever since until i stupidly decided to go to Ghana for a few weeks but left before i got an approved AP travel doc (Now I’m stuck in Ghana). My husband who was my boy friend then came to visit 2 months later which was in November of 2016. His very first time in Africa and Ghana. He met my entire family and my father even took us all out to a resort at our home town. He then came again to visit in feb 2017 and this time he proposed and we got married at the registrar office in Ghana the day he was leaving. Prior to me leaving the US we had talked about marriage and all so this was something we knew we wanted to do. Anyway we started the immigration process the following month. He then came to visit for the 3rd time in July and again in December of 2017. We spent the holidays together and all.

Okay my my main concern is there might be a few red flags in the sight of the CO however we are madly in love and want to be together. My husband has even tried to move to Ghana while waiting for this process but there hasn’t been any luck with him finding a job.

I would like to know if it’s a bad thing to flood them with a lot of pictures and text messages. We talk and text all day everyday. This has been our life ever since we started dating. I took screenshots of text messages of just this past month of December and i have 107 pages worth of pictures from the screenshots. This is just in one month and its not even screenshots of our convos from the entire month just a selection of it.

I want the CO to truly understand that this relationship is real but idk if it’s a bad thing to flood them with too much info. Also we have almost 1k worth of pics from since we met even as friends. Please any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

so how were you living in USA from 2000-2015 ?

why werent you allowed back in

i am a bit confused

anyways regarding your interview:

few screenshot of text messages

few pictures of your wedding with family.. also pictures from the time you spent time in USA

most important, his passport stamps when he came to Ghana, boarding passes and travel tickets

receipts of money he sent you

Try to sent proof that you knew each other from 2009-2017 .. specially in USA would be big

Okay so i don’t need to go over board with text messages ?

Yes i do have a lot of pictures and messages from when i was in the US. Every other weekend we would alternate who’s house we would go over cz we lived an Hr away so we spent every single weekend together.

i wish i could explain my history with the US and why I’m in Ghana now but it’s very complicated. Nothing is my fault as i was a minor when i moved to the US.

its complicated but question is were you in the USA 100% legally ?

if you weren't, you will have a problem at the interview and getting a visa.

no dont go over board with the text messages

i had a pending i485 and also i qualified for DACA so i wasn’t there illegally,  but when my mom got denied at her interview in 2015 that had an effect on me as well. However my mother claimed it didn’t. But it did because apparently i had a court date and was in removal proceedings ( my lawyer already got that terminated so I’m good). I never knew about the court date until i got to Ghana because i was never served. Long story short. My sis and i both left the country w/o being approved first for AP. However my sis who is in the same situation as i was, never got in removal proceedings and her AP got approved but since i was in removal proceedings mine got denied. Which made it seem like i did voluntary deportation.

Last question about the interview preparations. Do i have to show proof o text messages from each month?

I thought the same too... same SD as you.. apparently embassy is looking over our file and will give us an early interview since we had an expedite but let's see... 😥😥😥

I really thought we would get a Feb date since our scan dates were early Feb.
