No. Even according to your slightly biased source, he didn't.

So where is your reference that Reagan tripled the debt.  By this measure of debt as a percentage of GDP, Reagan went from about 25 to 41% which isn’t even a doubling.  Obama went from 39 to 77% which is close to doubling.  Which one was worse?

The source also shows that Reagan did not triple the debt either, so I guess we are both wrong.

We being you and the other guy ;)

There are lots of ways to look at National Debt though...you can always display it in ways to make people look better or worse.

Also, as I'm sure you know, the National Debt is not the only important factor for our economy and national well being. I actually rank it quite low.

I don’t disagree, but the assertion was made that Reagan was the worst president in recent history based only on some measure of national debt.

I posted the link and you responded to that post. If you read it, the debt went from ~$900 billion to ~$2.7 trillion during the Reagan years, which is ~triple.

So how do you justify Obama being better when he doubled the debt as a percentage of GDP during his terms?  The point is that thee are many ways to measure the debt and actually attaching it to a President’s performance is just a way of saying one either likes or dislikes the person in Office.

I don't recall saying Obama was "better". Are you imagining this or presuming?

You said Reagan was the worst in recent history, doesn’t that imply all others were better?

What I said is Reagan was "one of the worst". What it implies is that you are arguing here without actually reading what the other person is saying. Best not to do that when we are discussing something that's only 2 pages back.

Then we are in agreement if there are many worst presidents out there, Obama belongs in that category as well.
