I would agree that Carter was quite bad.

You mean Iran?

Or the whole Bergdahl debacle?

It appears that you are vaguely familiar with IranContraGate.

Was Reagan involved in a Bergdahl debacle?  Please link me up.

It started to become increasingly clear in the West in the 1970's that the Soviet Union had perpetuated the biggest economic fraud of the 20th Century when the Soviets started importing large quantities of American grain: the Soviet economy was a Potemkin Village.  A few in the CIA knew this.  Credit President Reagan with following the CIA's "Plan B" which helped speed up the collapse of a collapsing Soviet economy by a few years.

Reagan instituted a large military build-up, including the "Strategic Defense Initiative" (Star Wars).  He also increased export controls.  He was also responsible for conspiring with Saudi Arabia to drive down the price of the Soviet's chief export - oil.  More than half of the Soviet export earnings came from oil sales to the West.  They had an economy only one-fourth the size of America's economy.  They spent upwards of 25% or their GDP on their military.  By 1991, the Soviets were living off of Western loans.

Isn't it a violation of the TOS to quote large portions of an article without a link giving credit to such?

Nixon was abysmal. Price controls, monetary inflation, uncoupling of the dollar from the gold standard (to make monetary creation easier), stagflation. On the foreign policy side, detente, appeasement and peaceful co-existence with the USSR. Ford was like most presidents, run of the mill average while being in the unfortunate predicament of being left with all of Nixon's mess.

I get it.  You've never run into anyone who suffered through Reagan and could discuss it off the top of their head.  I'm not surprised.  I hope you learned something.

Then you must know that Reagan supplied arms to terrorist Iran, including HAWK and TOW missiles, when Iran was subject to an arms embargo.  You must also know that Reagan illegally aided the Contras in Nicaragua in their attempt to overthrow a democratically-elected government, in direct violation of the Boland Amendment.  And you must know that the Reagan Administration shredded documents related to the investigation in an attempt to cover up his crimes.
