You need to provide details of the interview and reason why you were detained. Also try to write clearly as is right now it hard to read this making it hard to understand. Take your time do not rush what you are typing.  We want to help but you need to be clear in what you are saying.

Are you first cousins ?   If it is not legal for you to marry as cousins in the state you live in your petition will be denied.  You must live were your marriage is legal.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

It is not legal to marry a first cousin in Pa.  However, I think all states recognize a 1st cousin marriage if it was legal where the marriage took place.  Thus, whereas a K-1 might be denied, a CR-1 would not.

I'm not an expert, but I did find a post from a prominent member who said this a few years ago.

interesting stuff, right there..

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Ok now I understand why the case was returned. I hope you get a speedy adjudication in the affirmative.

Think in terms of six months.  Being first cousins alone would not be grounds to deny the visa.  However, it is always grounds to give extra scrutiny to the relationship itself.  What country is your spouse coming from?  What kind of evidence of your relationship did you include when filing the petition.  Tell us more about how the relationship with your spouse evolved.

If the visa is denied it will be because they don't believe the relationship is a genuine marriage, with being first cousins only one of several factors in their decision making.

It's takes more than 1 and half years but my case was more complaicated. Our marriege was proxy( my husband couldn't come Iran on our wedding party) . Our lawyer told us We should patient that our case revoke and deniey so after more that one and half years We got married again at UAE. And we applayed again. If you see may timeline you could find my progress. I have done search alot...cousine marriege is illigal for native people on some state...for example texas but it is not for us. Be sure your case will be approve but it is important that  you take a good lawyer. I found an Indian couple that have same problem and now they live together at Texas and have a kid. so do not give up and take a lawyer...
