I am ready to file online for N400 but upon answering the eligibility quizz prior to application i found out that i am not eligible. To be precise i got my GC 3/30/13. Under 5 yr rule i am eligible to file 12/30/17. But on the USCIS website the date asked me if i got my GC before 3/30. Any thoughts? Is online eligibility different when applying in paper?

You did not get your green card before 3/30, so according to the date calculation you are still outside the 90 day window.  Wait another day and try again tomorrow.

That's the thing i should have been eligible yesterday on the 30th. Today is the 31st. That's 89 days. But the questionnaire asked me if i got my gc before the 30th to be eligible.

90 day does not equal 12/30

if your green card anniversary is 03/30

march 30 day

February 28 day

January  31 days

that 89 days counting from January 1st

so you should be able to apply 12/31

the system sometime have glitches.

so i suggest waiting till 1st or 2 nd to apply

one or 2 days wont make any diff

Hello Everyone,

I have the exact same problem. my gc was issued on 03/30/15 and the early filing calculator says i am eligible to apply on 12/20/2017 but the N-400 eligibility question is if i became permanent resident on or before 03/28/2015. im applying under 3 year rule. not sure why they did not change the date.
