i864 co sponsor questions

Hello. I am about to file my i864. my wife has never filed tax b4 bcos she started working late in November so she was not required to file tax due to the small amount on her w2. besides, she still doesn't make enough for the poverty level. she has lost d w2. we also have her employment letter and paystubs. 

Apart from that. we have a joint sponsor who makes 60k  a year who gave us 3years of tax transcript, w2 and paystubs and letter of employment too.

 

my question.. :  will there be a problem since my wife didn't include her tax document? or wud the officers overlook it and considers my sponsors tax documents?

No problem she just needs to explain why she did not file.

On page 6 of the i864 #20 is a check box that states you didn't have to file taxes and asks you to attach evidence. Make sure that the evidence is signed, dated and include the beneficiaries alien #. Follow the instructions to make sure if anything else is required. Have you had a chance to read the instructions yet ?

I'm not sure to be honest as we have always filed taxes. You suggested she didn't need to file based on the total income being low. Maybe submit  copy of her w2 and a letter stating it was low. Also comment the page # item # part # of the i864 you are refering to in the letter. If you can not find the w2 ask the employer they should be able to give a copy. That's just my advice maybe others have better advice. I would do some more research.
