Hey guys,

 

Has anyone ever arranged their evidence photos in a word document? Ever heard of an RFE for not having the photos as regular, 3x5s

(er whatever the regular size is)?

 

This would be for ROC.

Photos do not have a mandated size.  You can put the 1 up, 2 up, 4 up on regular paper printed from a printer if you want

We did.. 2/3/4 pics per page on a Word doc and printed in color on regular paper.

Awesome, so good to hear @WeGuyGal! 

 

@payxibka RFE for them not being actual photos lol, I don't know if that's a thing or not. However USCIS is so particular I just don't want to mess with something i can easily change now before I send my pile of papers in.

 Just wanted to hear if there were others who did them as a word document instead of printing them out

Thanks for your input guys. 

Understand how to present supporting information.  Secondary evidence (which photos are) can be photocopies (per the instructions). Originals not required.  So no chance of an RFE because you didn't submit on photo paper.

There's no particular format for any form of supporting evidence, including photos. Generally, they should be clear, color photos, but they do not need to be on photo paper or individually printed.

 

Things like passport-style photos (for other processes, not ROC) are different and do have stricter requirements with regards to format and printed paper.

I did 4 photos on a page in google docs and printed it on regular paper, approved no problem.

Tracking Number Received: Via email notice and website the afternoon of Jan 4th    Visa Delivered: Friday Jan 5th Mexico City

We did. I placed three photos in each document and it gave me some space to type a caption about when and where the or the occasion on which the pic was taken. No RFE received. Got Extension

I did it in a word document and put like 10 photos on a sheet and aranged by like event. ie christmas vacation, vacation in aspen, enjoying time with friends, family visit to vegas ect.

USCIS can be strict when it comes to financial comingling.

RFE asking for IRS Transcripts (joint filing) or proof of living together (Rental lease with both names, etc) are the kind of things you will see on an RFE.

 

Affidavits and photos are weak evidence (as pointed above).

Photos of the couple alone anywhere are also almost useless.

Photos of the couple with OTHER people are more valuable (with Family members on both sides, work events, etc.) as they can't be as easily staged.

 

Anyway, for I-130/I-485 I submitted color word printouts in plain paper.

Word was very useful as I could date and add a description for each picture.

During the interview, I remember they did not even look at the pictures.

 

For ROC, I did exactly the same. I doubt I will get an RFE asking for 3x5 photos (which I could also print at home anyway).
