I-130 Processing-steps afterwards

Hey all, 

SO I have been reading a lot lately because I submitted my I-130 form in June, it was sent to the Texas Service Center. Now following the Processing times guidelines of the USCIS, my papers should be processed by the end of January or February I guess. I filed the I-130 for my husband who resides in Dubai, UAE. I know that he will have to choose an agent, we will have to pay the fees, fill out the Affidavit of support, the DS260 etc before he gets the visa interview. My question is, how do we know that the form is approved and sent to the NVC? Is there a number I can call to follow up on my case? I have seen other cases filed for a spouse in UAE got approved already and I feel like it is getting closer! Please help out!

What do you mean by having to choose and agent?

 

You will receive a notification from the USCIS once the petition has been approved

Thanks, I read the guides..I was just a little confused as to who gets notified, the person who petitioned or the beneficiary

It is the petitioner until the file gets to the Embassy
