I always thought Visitor Visa was a bit of a clue.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

A tourist visa valid until 2024 does not mean the holder can stay until then.  It appears the OP  knew that he needed to leave after 180ish days, he just did that a little too often.

OP - Good luck

This could be the understatement of 2017.

Alright people. I'm done with all the sarcasm & criticism. Not particularly helpful. Go on to someone else's topic.

Just wondering if you could provide the letter. Did you tell then you would be in the states 6 months at a time? Keep us posted on what the consulate says.

Been asked this at least 3 times (before this) and steadfastly refused to provide a straight answer.

I think people need to admit when they made a mistake.. ie. i thought a 10 year visa ment i could come and go as i pleased.  instead he is trying to say he told the IO of his travel plans and it was not a problem.

also, if this is not a problem and something you can do showing us the letter would REALLY REALLY help future travelers who have the same issue!  so you withholding the letter is not allowing other VJ members with the same issue either now or in the future, receive valuable help!  I can say before i was on here i had no idea how immigration worked!  thankfully, to the members here i have been able to help myself and also i have given many of my friends valuable advice when they were in situations.  so if you can share more information here it would really help the members.

People come on here asking for advice...and yes the best outcome is they take the advice, share their story, help others

some posters on here (maybe even many of the regulars) yes do get a bit jaded/cynical/sarcastic seeing the same things time after time....all I can say is.... if the posters here are like that seeing a fraction of what goes on, what do you think COs and CBP officers who see it all are thinking....

and some posters take advice gracefully even when it’s not what they want to hear, and others lash out at those because they got told something that doesn’t suit them, even if it’s accurate

...and so we go on....
