Yes, CPB asked me about that before. The b2 visa was granted for medical reasons which require me to receive treatment as well as be seen by a doctor on a bi-monthly basis in the US. The treatment is available only in the us but not in Canada. I've been providing this documentation from my doctor since oct. '14. That's why I've been allowed to enter the previous times.

Yes, but you have already stayed 6 months in 2017 and you wanted to enter the US 2 weeks after having spent 6 months in the US.

The CBP officer does not care about the medical visits. Even showing him evidence at that time and tried to convince him would not work. It also makes sense for him to wonder why do you need to stay 6 months in the US for treatment and then go back so soon after.

You might need to get another visa. If you really need to get back for treatment, you might want to apply for another visa, but you'll have to take plenty of evidence about the treatments and maybe even have the doctor write a letter of why you had to spend so long in the US. You might need to get another type of visa.

Are you saying your medical treatment requires you to stay in the USA for 6 months at a time?  And you require medical treatment for years?

Canuck70 - your B visa was given to you on the basis of this medical treatment?  This treatment not available in Canada correct?  Did the consular officer know that you would be required to live in the U.S. for 50 weeks of the year when it was granted?  If not, this is the reason your visa was cancelled.

Could you give us some more information about the reasons your visa was granted, the reason this medical treatment requires you to live in the U.S., and who is paying for the cost of this treatment (as in are you paying your bills in the U.S. for this treatment? - this may also be a reason for your visa revocation)

Good luck

Good luck

The OP stated he had ernough money and showed statements that he could pay for it. I really don't doubt his financial means and I don't think that has anything to do with it.

It obviously got  cancelled bc you were spending too much time in the usa.

I'm surprised it was revoked though. How would they have triggered this on their side? I'm just curious as I figured the OP would be more then likely questioned and denied entry at the border.

Most of the visits between '15-'17 were 6-month stays between from jan-june, and then from july-dec. I stay in Canada for about 1-2 weeks.

I started using the b2-visa in oct. '14 so that was a 2 1/2 month stay between oct-Dec '14.

This is the reason you got denied. Spending only 2 weeks a year in Canada.  This may have been done pre 911 but not with the heightened security now and shared information.

Many Canadians think that every time they leave the country it "resets" the visa and they get another 6 months.  You would be surprised how many many Canadians actually think as long as they check out of the USA for a week they can go back.

However, you said you need to go there for bi monthly treatments, but then you stated you spent 6 months in, back for 2 weeks and another 6 months in, back for 2 weeks. So really it doesn't really make sense?

CPB has been fine with the medical documentation that I've been providing over the last few years.  I wasn't even allowed to pass through airport security after check in told me that my visa was revoked. I was able to call CPB on the phone who said that they have no control over visa revocation & that it was the us consulate who had the authority.

The medical treatment for my chronic disease is only available in the US. It's been approved by the FDA but not Health Canada as of yet. I need to receive the treatment and am monitored by my American doctor every 2 weeks. Thus my need to be in the US. I bear the costs solely. As indicated earlier, I provide my Canadian bank statements to show that I have the financial means. All of this is noted in the documentation that I provided when I applied for first visa & every time I enter the US.

Im not sure why someone is suggesting this is a troll because chronic disease is not a laughing matter & it is not of the Munchausen variety.

When you applied for the visa, did you disclose that you would be spending 48-50 weeks a year  in the US, for a period of years or indefinitely, and that you would effectively only be visiting Canada to reset your visa entry dates?

Ok just for the record “I know I didn’t overtstay because I stayed less than 6 months” is not an excuse. You don’t always get 6 months. You get what you get when the officer stamps your i94. Your allowed stay is whatever it says on there. Not 6 months. Not matter what country you are from or what visa you have.

I f you need to see the Doctor every 2 weeks what happens in between?

Agree reason for the visa being pulled is pretty obvious.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Nothing we can tell you...it could be a mistake ie..whatever document you gave they are not looking at. All you can do at this point is get ahold of the us consulate and see what they say and go from there.

Ironically, you state your "stays" in the US as well as Canada.

To continue to be eligible for a B2, you have to be in visit status in the US while living in Canada.
