Hey all VJers,

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had experiences with the Buenos Aires Embassy. I've PM a few people on here for their help and guidance. Thanks! But I am just tired of waiting for them to give us an interview date. We completed and submitted our Packet 3 at the beginning of the month and we have heard nothing since. Not even an acknowledgement that they recieved it. I sent them an email last Monday and this is the BS I got.

(turismo, negocios,trabajo(H1B), etc) por favor escriba a BNS-visas@state.gov

para solicitar su visa. Éste es un requerimiento que debe cumplimentarse a nivel

mundial. MUY IMPORTANTE: Los solicitantes que se presenten con formularios

completados a mano o que no cumplan con dicho requerimiento deberán reprogramar

Thank you for contacting our section. This is an auto resply message from our

section. We sent this automatic replay to let you know we received your e-mail.

Please do not respond to this message. Meanwhile you can visit our web site:

sitio de Internet. <http://buenosaires.usembassy.gov/>

If your inquiry is about an immigrant visa, we will send you a personal answer

as soon as possible, probably around 4 or 5 working days. If we haven't

answered your e-mail within one week, please wait for our response WITHOUT

SENDING US AN OTHER E-MAIL since this will increase the waiting time. Once we

answer you, please keep the e-mail history in order to have all the details of

your case.

If your inquire is about non-immigrant visas such as ( tourism, business, work

visas (H1B) please write to BNS-visas@state.gov <mailto:BNS-visas@state.gov>

IMPORTANT New requirement:

Effective November 1st 2006, all non-immigrant visa applicants must complete the

DS-156 <http://evisaforms.state.gov/> visa application form on-line. This is a

worldwide requirement for all U.S. non-immigrant visa applicants. Please refer

to the link and follow the instructions. IMPORTANT: Applicants who do not meet

this requirement and who instead present visa application forms that have been

filled out by hand or typed will not be interviewed and will be required to

re-schedule their visa appointments.

Of course the 4-5 business days have passed and nothing. The mail says not to repley until they respond to me, whatever. I called the embassy yesterday and the guy said to send another email, becuase they can't answer those questions over the phone. So I sent them another email today, same automatic response. I swear I'm just going to send an email each day until I hear a response. Anyone have similar experiences or advice? Thanks!
