GC interview was cancelled,EAD has expired

Hello Folks,

 

My GC interview has been cancelled on Nov 2  which should be Nov 5 because my document was not delivered to my local office. 

The USCIS said the interview will be rescheduled  by mail. But I do not receive any notice so far.

I also file e-request  on December 2 and expect reply on December 24. But still no any reply.

My EAD has expired this month. Should I apply another EAD or just wait for the interview.

 

Any advice is welcomed.

Same happened to us, but in the Houston office.  We were scheduled an interview for Nov 13,  but was cancelled by USCIS 2 weeks before the interview date, &  we still don't have a new interview date, and my husbands EAD card expired in November,  We sent in the renewal back in August 2017.   I also emailed USCIS, and was told a response by Dec 18th, no reply ever came.    Going to contact our Congressman to see If they can assist.    Been waiting now 15 months for this AOS process to end.

What is your category ? I am F2A. 

I just call USCIS and was told I could call them back January 2 or send another e-request..

Could you tell me how to renew EAD ? What would it cost ?

We are doing AOS from a visitors visa that expired.  Read our immigration journey in my signature.

 

Renewing the EAD card is no cost, you just need to fill out the I-765 form as you did when you applied for your current one.  It should of been sent 90 days before it expires.

Its automatically extended 180 days, but you need to send in the renewal anyways, it don't cost anything, just a few minutes filling out the form again, cause you don't know when you will get your interview, and I'm sure your States ID and or drivers license is expiring also,   Texas would not renew my husband ID, cause his EAD card is expire, and they did not accept our receipts from USCIS on the receipt of his EAD renewal petition.    We have to go back down to Texas DPS and ask them to do  verification check with USCIS to show my husband is still in status with them.

My I -765 is rejected because the payment have not been provided. I remember we do not need to pay for this renew of EAD.

And my category is C09, is it right ?
