Hey my case just got to issued status today and im planning to buy the tickets soon. Only question i have is what name should i put when buying it. It shoulds simple but vn has different ways of how the name is. Her name is Pham Thi Ngoc in vn. In america we would think its is "first=ngoc" "middle=thi" "last=pham". But in a letter for the U.S. consulate they address her as Thi Ngoc Pham and Pham, Thi Ngoc. if i read it right that means "first=thi" "middle=ngoc" "last=pham". So im guessing the ticket should be bought how the consulate is address her because most likely the visa will be like that. Anyone with experience lately after they change the way the name is printed on the visa? If so, can i ask how you bought the ticket with the names? I have attached a photo of the letter so you can see what i mean. Thanks in advance

Thanks for the link. Its seems like on the american side they dont care. But in vn they did thats why it was changed. And thats what im concerned about (vn side) cause they are pretty corrupt here and want money or will give a very hard time

When you're buying the airline ticket the name should match the passport.   Not necessarily the visa.  So whatever the given name is on her passport,  that's how you would do it I  airline tickets.  For the cbp, they're the ones who care about the name that matches their records.

By the way,  I'm just guessing but more likely on her passport it's thi Ngoc, as her given name,  so that's how you should buy the ticket.

Yeah thats what i figured how i should put it as. Thanks for the input. 3 people have told me that so far,  thats what im gonna go with and hope It works out

Happy travels.  Just a thought,  in some cases,  there are those who wanted a name change during the process,  would end up getting new name on visa,  that's just my guess.  Wishing you no problems with stupid Viet customs folks
