What can I do before NOA-2

Can I prepare/do something before receiving the NOA-2? Just want to make the process as fast as possible. According to "Visajourney" calculations we will have an answer in late January. 

 

Also, if we get that one approved, and assuming the rest of the application goes by the book, when should we expect to be able to move to the States?

I would say you are very close to having NOA2 as there have already been approvals for April, so any day now.  As far as what you can do to prepare after that you can look at this site. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/immigrant-visa-for-spouse.html#6 this gives you an idea of what will come at NVC.
