receiving visa after approval

we had our interview april 18 and visa was approved with no problem. we were told to come back on friday 20th to pick up the visa. we went on friday and visa not ready. we were told they had been having problems with data transfer from washington in order to print the visa,and to come back monday. the embassy called monday and said still not ready. we went tuesday and still not ready. i insisted on talking to someone to see about this enduring problem. a co talked with me and assured me there was no problem except getting data because of computer problems. the co said at least by the end of this week it should be finished and to be patient and they would call when ready. the embassy called on wednesday and said ,Sorry not ready yet,and many other approvals were waiting too. i did talk talk with some people there that were waiting also. so its hard to say at this point whether its legit or a bunch of runaround. im just reporting this so other people may be prepared if it happens to them. if someone is making travel plans shortly after the interview be adviseed that this could happen. its been no problem as far as time with me because im not leaving until may 8th anwway. i was adamant in asking if it was anything else causing the delay and unless 3 people at the embassy were lying i guess it is true, but im certainly skeptical of what im hearing. maybe its just a security check or something ,who knows, just be prepared. i will keep everybody here updated if and when i learn more. thanks everybody on vj. this resourse is unbelivelably valuable. P.S. i do have to say everybody at the embassy was very nice and respectful, SO FAR. JERRY HI MIKE, hope alls well with you.

I am sorry to hear of your delay. I hope they get the 'computer glitch' straightened out soon!

maybe its legit.embassy just called again and said still not printing some visas because of system. will be at least next week now.oh well,at least im hearing something.
