Hi community,

We sent our AoS package on December 18, and today we got this notice from USPS:

"Delivery Attempt: Action Needed Reminder to Schedule Redelivery of your item before January 5, 2018."

As our AoS case is based on a K1, we sent it to:

USCIS Chicago Lockbox

For U.S. Postal Service (USPS):

USCIS
PO Box 805887
Chicago, IL 60680-4120

We haven't found anything like this on the forum, just old threads about delayed deliveries and such.

Should we worry and take action or just wait patiently till someone from USCIS picks up our package?

Hmm, I sent USPS priority and didn't have any issue.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

We used a flat rate envelope.

Again I ask, why trust usps on something so important. Use FedEx or ups. Don’t trust usps for important stuff.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I'm asking the same to my wife. LOL

(We already had issues with USPS, but with an international package, haha)

Made me nervous too, but since it was going to a PO Box, was sure to get return receipt etc.

Also I mailed on a Saturday.

Hi sorry for the late reply. It did work out for us. USCIS did pick it up. Oddly when our check was cashed the USPS notice still said "available for pickup". Hopefully your situation is resolved by now. Good luck on your journey!

I em experiencing the same thing now 😭. I sent my AOS packet last feb 1 and feb 6 it says ready for pick up and now feb 11 it says Delivery attempt: Action Needed.

I am really really worried.

What do you think I will do guys?

Should I call the USPS to redeliver it and waived the signature required since I think that caused the problem because it is a PO Box and no one in there to sign it when the packet arrived?

I am really really worrid.

USPS sucks with their tracking system. I almost had a heart attack worrying about my AOS application before. So what happened was, I sent my AOS on February 1st and I heared nothingfrom them if they were able to deliver it until it says “Deliver Attemp”. I panicked. I called them many times but they just gave me case number and so on and so fort no one can really tell me where was my parcel then. I lost hope and think of just wait for it to be delivered back to me. But they actually delivered my AOS Packet on the 6th of February but it was until the 15th they changed their tracking in to “Delivered” on the 6th. So I was really stressed but I felt relieved when I saw that it was delivered on the 6th and the USCIS also notified on my NOA 1 that they received it on the 6th.

I advised you to just stay calm and relax. I know your paper is already delivered. USPS just sometimes suck with their tracking system.

I hopt it will help you feel better.
