Why almost six months more for someone who filed in August? I'm a July 31st filer, does that mean I'm going to have to wait two more months for a NOA2? that doesn't add up.

Absolutely adds up. Im a May 24 (2 months before you) waiting for noa2 still with no rfe or anything, just waiting.

Hey guys, our petition was received on August 3 by USCIS. I personally estimated a time that we would have our NOA2 based on how long cases were taking on uscis.gov and the date came to Dec .19. But we have nothing so far. It's hard because we struggle to survive everyday. I can't even put to wrods how much we are suffering from this process. How much longer do we have to wait? Are the processing times on this website accurate or behind?

You filed 4 months ago. It took us 5 years. We suffered with all kinds of mess.
We were 16 months in AP and then denied and had to start over with another petition.
I hate to tell you this but 4 months is nothing to complain about.
Chin up and keep on trucking you are too close to be so down and out.
You can't expect immigration to be a walk in the park.
If you can't take these few months then move to your fiance or at least visit.

I submitted the same time 4 years ago. Interview will probably be in April.  There is not much you can do but wait. I would collect everything to get ready.  I suggest you go with her for interview.  They allow you in embassy andyou can interviw with her.

@John & Rose you are great with the timelines. Really appreciate your feedback. Question for you: we have a NOA2 of Nov 8, 2017. The case has not gone to NVC yet (7 weeks- ugh). What are the chances of a February interview in your opinion? end of January realistic?

I haven’t heard of any cases taking longer than 8 weeks to get to NVC so I really think that will happen soon. Once you get the number go and finish the DS-160 and get medical out of the way. Try to schedule an interview (may not be possible until the Embassy receives the packet). Do all you can do and if you get lucky with the interview date you can possibly see an interview by the end of January. I do not believe there is a long wait for NVC to send the petition to Canada. I think you can do it.

I agree with John & Rose. Good point. Having a rice cooker is a life saver. I opted against the Filipino Channel only because it was $25 / month. I set up a subscription online instead and she can stream all of the Vice Ganda she wants (and she does). ;)

I can see that the date we sent the process really doens't mean they will follow strictily that order, because we sent ours in june 5, 2017 and we had received NOA2 through mail november 24, 2017. But yesterday we called USCIS and they had not sent it to NCV yet. They told us they should not take longer than 3 months to send to NCV. Wich is interesting because last time we called them they asked more two weeks to send it. All this change of info makes us so confused...

I would like to hear a opnion of you too guys about our case. We are now 6 weeks left after we received the NOA2. After it get in NCV, our case will be sent to the Consulate in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Do you think it is realistic to hope an interview for the month of february?
