Samsung is probably in the top 3 of all electronics.  Hence why Apple contracted them to provide their cameras and screens for the X.

    Apple does have great marketing, and total control over their "ecosystem". It's not always easy to cut the cord.

Ok, I have to admit. I like my iPad, but I wouldn't bought it myself. Also had ( technically it wasn't mine)  an iBook Pro when it first came out years ago, loved it. As soon as I'm buying a new laptop I will get a new iBook. That's it.

X is awesome. I bought it though but annoyed with the price point but wasn’t going to pay $900 for an iPhone 8 when another $200 got me the top model.

 

as for Samsung parts - sure why not leverage competition if they make your product even better. Amusing part no matter how hard Samsung tries they can’t get to Apples level which ought to annoy them immensely.

 

I hate the Samsung vs Apple - there both fine mobiles and pitting one against the other is stupid.

I agree, most people I know have an iPhone and they always react something like this: you have a Samsung?? Get out of my way!! And since I have a Motorola, people ( iPhone owner's) unfriended me on Facebook.

 

Seriously, like most people I bought several phones in my life. My ex husband and me bought our first iPhone, mine crashed within 6 months, his a couple months later.

I don't believe in coincidence.

I’ve had iPhone 3GS to IPhone X  (2yr increment) no issues apart from battery life - also owned 3 Samsung slide mobiles. No issues with Samsung apart from dropping one in a lake.

My point was paying that much for a phone that brings zero value over a cheaper phone is insane imho.  Keep in mind having said that I bought one last week.
