Understandable, I had the same thing happen with a Samsung television I purchased and swore off anything Samsung.

Funny is that I switched to a Samsung and that worked great until my husband got me a Motorola. He got me also an iPad, but honestly I would never bought it myself. Overpriced, and other brands offer the same if not better quality.

    Ever since I took apart my iPhone 4S years ago to swap out a damaged charging port, I realized there was way more hype than quality going into these. What Apple has going here is kind of like if McDonalds started charging $30 for a big Mac. At $1000, there really shouldn't be much demand for an iPhone X.

Samsung is probably in the top 3 of all electronics.  Hence why Apple contracted them to provide their cameras and screens for the X.
