Hi vj families, I need to go to the Consulate office in Washington DC to renew my passport this week.  I never been there and no idea where to stay. Any ideas a cheap place to stay near the consulate office?  Thank you and Merry Christmas and a prosperous New year vj families.

You can check through booking.com or expedia.com or airbnb.com . I always use them to find a reasonable accommodation in a new place

Since I only go to DC for day trips I don't know first hand but if you're looking to save money it may be better to stay in Virginia (just across the bridge) rather than right in DC.

Sorry, I see your are coming from NC.  DC is the correct consulate.  You don't need a hotel to stay if you do it in a day.  They will send your passport to you  in the mail.  Bring a self addressed and stamp envelope with you.
