Touched??

On quite a few of peoples timelines I read that they can see that there case has been touched.

Where can we see that our case has been touched. I just love to have an a close look at it as possible. Especially after them sending things to a wrong address.

We received an appolgy letter from the local CIS office for that. ( see former posts) which is the least I hoped for

We watch our case on uscis.gov, but don't ever see anything like that????

There are several threads about this subject, but here's the short of it: a touch means someone at USCIS has looked at your case in some way, but has not taken any action on it. You generally get touches when they're preparing a letter (such as your biometrics letter) or looking at it for some other reason.

You will not get an e-mail update and it will not change your status. The only way you'll know if it's been touched is to check the USCIS profile service nearly every day. The date under "Last Updated" will change periodically. If the date has changed with no status change, this is a touch.
