we need to send last two years tax returns..even i start to work now its not going to work

Not true. Yes, you need to report past tax return income and provide at least the most recent tax return. However, that does NOT mean you need to have made 125% of the income level in past years. For a wage earner, they primarily use pay stubs and an employment letter to determine somebody's current income level. You would be very far from the first person who didn't make enough in past years but got approved due to current employment that does meet the requirements.

i read assets must be 5X

yes all my funds are coming from my family..hope you feel relief

It's 3x for a spouse or minor child, and 5x for everybody else. Some COs go by the 3x level for a fiance as well, but they are not required to do so.

First, at most, only the most recent year is required (for the I-864 later, one is strictly required, but a CO may or may not require it for the I-134). Optionally, you can provide tax returns for the 2 years prior to that as well (making it the past 3 years).

Note that the I-134 for a K-1 does not have firm requirements defined, so the I-864 is the de-facto guideline when there is ambiguity.

I have a related question (please delete or move if this doesn't fit into this thread). If my tax returns are only 17k (aka below the poverty line) but my assets are over 60k, will that be enough? Or is a joint-sponsor still the better way to go?

may i be sponsor for my spouse or will we need a joint sponsor?

If you are a USC you need 3X the poverty level for your household size.  I am assuming 2?  You're pretty close with cash.  I believe you will be OK.

It's 3X for USC immediate family, not 5X.  OP has enough cash to cover the requirements.

Yup, that was my point. :P (Although a parent is still 5x, despite being an IR).
