My hubby just informed me that our medical coverage is changing this year....

Before we had to pay a copay and the rest of the eligible costs were covered 100 percent...

Now we still have to pay a copay but for the rest of the eligible costs they are only going to cover 90 percent... they will still cover 100 percent after copay for the regular doctor stuff but it is the stuff like hospital visits and surgeries etc that they are only going to cover 90 percent....

plus they are going to taking a bit more money out of hubby's paycheck....

I am glad this didn't come into effect last year or we would have a pretty big bill to pay off.....

I'm so sorry Marilyn :( How does that affect your husband's pre-existing? Does his current problem get grandfathered in to the 100% or are they allowed to switch it to 90% mid-treatment?

Health care costs suck!

If he stays with the same employer, they should cover any pre-existing conditions.

Yah, healthcare sucks. Always changing for the worse.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

it hasn't changed yet, I think we have a certain amount of time to change it..

I have no idea what will happen with his preexisting condition .... if they will cover it all or not....

They can't not cover it so don't worry about that. I was just wondering as far as the copay whether they can switch...I don't think they're allowed to, mind you.
