Advance Parole

Hi, my husband received his advanced parole approval notice yesterday. Has anyone from Nigeria 🇳🇬 used their parole while the AOS is pending. It’s notes on the paper it states not a guarantee even tho approved that will be allowed to return into US. This statement causes some fear and anxiety? Has anyone had a problem returning? Thanks in advance.

Nothing guarantees 100% someone will be allowed back. (Well, maybe a US passport.)

 

If it were me, I would only leave for a very important reason and I would not leave from long, just like 2 weeks. People have left longer but I am sure you have already had a hard time getting a K1 because Nigeria is one of those countries where visas are hard to get.

In 2015 I left the country for Nigeria to celebrate Christmas with my family. My case was approved and card mailed while I was away, there was no interview and no exemption notice from uscis either. I got to know from status updates. On my return I had no problems at the airport in Lagos or Houston. The guy in Houston confirmed the approval when I told him about the notice I received. 

All I'm trying to say is that it's ok to travel with AP as long as your trip is not extended to raise red flags.
