approved 601 by immigration  judge last week due to hardship for US citizenship family members,   what next?? long stories short,  my sister had 10 years green card, but issued Notice to appear when she was back from her short trips from Mexico, due to her 2 convictions of the CIMT, she was in removing proceedings , she lost her green card, but we fight for 601 waiver,  finally immigration judge granted her 601 waiver, my question is what next?? she is in USA for over 15 years now , can she apply for citizenship? or can she just need to get her green card back first??? thanks for all and  by the way, she is living in USA now during whole immigration court process, thanks for good advice, good luck

First thing is to get a illegal status which is get her green card back.

Citizenship is something i am not sure how that will work at this moment as there is now a break in her status due to the cancellation of her prior green card.

she had 10 years green card  due to her previous CIMT criminal conviction,  return to USA for short vacation from Mexico with her green card,  stopped airport immigration, issued Notice to appear, charged as Grounds of Inadmissibility,  her husband petition again for 1-130 , approved, during time being removing proceeding started as inadmissible of her crime CIMT in NYC immigration Court , applied  601 at the immigration court,  last week, immigration judge approved, so does she still need apply GC? but since she lives here so long, can not apply for her citizenship straight way?? thanks

Green card yes..... Citizenship no but she can book an infopass and meet with an immigration officer for better advice on when she can apply for citizenship considering the totality of her current circumstance.
