My friend wants to end her marriage  and  just be done with it.

How long does it take to annul a marriage in the Philippines? How fast ? and How much?

Does the couple need to file it together?

Yes, exactly, which most are very aware ... way too much "church/state".   Many Filipinos I talk to on this would love to see divorce allowed, they tell me that bills been written but never get past the senate vote.  So the masses continue to either never marry or marry and just walk away when things go south.

Or this is why so many married guys have girlfriends on the side.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

Double Edge Sword in my opinion.

I can see where the catholic church has done good to keep religion focused there, where else can you find young woman still virgins?

The average age that a woman in the Philippines loses her virginity is 15.  There are not a tremendous amount of virgins there.  Many are deflowered by much older married men.  It is a very confusing society.  86% catholic with no divorce but also very few marriages that retain fidelity.  Rose's sister is married and hasn't seen her "husband" in over 20 years.  She has a child with her live in boyfriend who is also married to another woman he hasn't seen in 18 years.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

Where in the world did you even get this data? Obviously anecdotal and just plain silly. Your wife's family isn't evidence. Jesus!

So you are saying that isn’t common?  I never said they were the only evidence and I don’t care if you believe me or not. You can find the info if you want to. My example is more of the rule than the exception. That is so common there that this is not considered a bad thing. It is just the way of life. Annulments cost around 400,000 pesos and take years. When you earn 300 to 500 pesos a day that is a lot of money.

Your original observation is spot on with what I have seen as well.

There is a tremendous amount of virgins in each age category vs US Females.

We went to Mexico last week with two other couples. One married 20 years, one married 5 and me married 3.  All three females were virgins when they when they met the American Fiancé's.

Now if you are talking about squatter villages, then maybe there are not many virgins living in the poor areas.  Many of the girls I have known over the years were not allowed to date until they finished college.
