Hi!
I filed my AOS in August together with EAD / which I still have not received.
At 90 days I contacted uscis who requested some sort of update. They said it could take up to 30 days to receive a update.
When 30 days had passed and I still had not heard anything I contacted them again and they said all they can do is to request another update.
Same story again - it can take up to 30 days.

Anyone else in the same situation? Where exactly is the EAD processed? The same office as my AOS?

Sorry to hear that! That is really disappointing.

 

I think EAD is processed at NBC.

EAD/AP currently can take 4-5 months.
You can try to expedite with a job offer if you have one, if not get one.

Sept. 21 Interview, 2 hour interview, we were separated and asked about 50 questions each for an hour each. IO was firm but professional, some smiles.
Several service requests made, contacted Senator and Ombudsman. Background checks still pending.
July 21, 2017 HOME VISIT.  Went well. Topic thread in AOS forum.
Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.

There is no link.
1. Call USCIS and request an expedite (on the basis of financial hardship if you have financial difficulties.)

2. You will then receive a letter requesting evidence of the job offer (employer offering a job pending your EAD approval)

and some proof that you have financial difficulties (bill statements, new car loan etc.....)

3. Fax all evidence to the fax number mentioned in the letter from USCIS.
That's it. Good luck.

Oh okey. I requested the update over the phone as well. They were supposed to give me an update of whats going on within 30 days but I didnt hear a thing.
So I had to request a new one over the phone. It has been over 4 months now since I applied.

If I ask to speak to a tier 2, do you think they can actually tell me whats going on?

It's useless to talk to tier 2 about the time table because they are behind and speaking to them wont make it go any faster.
Just do the expedite request to whoever answers the phone and wait for the letter requesting some proof, the letter usually comes in a 

week. It's a fairly simple procedure, the whole thing took us about 3 weeks.

You can also try contacting your local congressman and have them inquire on your behalf. I have heard of multiple people getting a response or update to their case a day or two after this happens.

 

If you have a job offer you can even send the offer to the local congressman with the request, our local congressmen asked if we had a job offer to submit to them for when they inquired on my husbands behalf.
