I had an immigrant visa interview scheduled last week and wasn’t unable to attend. I then had to call the scheduling number to advise them that I missed my interview and provide a reason. I was approved to reschedule but have been logging into the website to reschedule and there are no dates! I have also emailed the consulate but am waiting to hear back.

I am pretty much in a panic and am afraid that I will not get a new date! Missing my husband terribly and we just want to be together...

Does anyone know anything about rescheduling immigrant visas and how long it takes?

Wow!  You were not able to attend your interview!  You will eventually get a new date.  Rescheduling times are different for each embassy.  Some short, some long length of time.  Just keep trying.  Sorry but you created this situation for yourself.  I wish you luck in a getting a new interview date quickly.

Thanks Greg. I will keep trying. That’s all I can do! I really wish things worked out differently. I keep replaying what I could have done to prevent this scenario over and over in my head, but at this point all I can do is pray really hard that things happen sooner than later.

Hi Melissa,

I was in the same situation last week, I needed to schedule an appointment but the closest one was in 2 months!

I advise you check the website between midnight and 5am.. it seems like that is when they update the system with new available dates. I got my appointment at 3am!

Agree just keep on checking, as an aside all sorts of weird thing could happen so always best to rearrange your appointments and attend the time they give you.
