Hello,

So after a very emotional day, my husband and I are sitting broken-hearted in a pub outside of kings cross station.

The interviewer told us that our medical never arrived from Knightsbridge and that where my dad is not a household member (despite doing taxes as a single household) We (my dad and I) apparently filled out the wrong affidavit of support for him.

We called his GP. And despite having the request for 3 weeks that they needed an additional document, they never bothered to send it! Trying to get that rushed through now.

Im a bit confused now... Because he said that they needed to get that mailed in and that we could email or courier the new form in. So we left under the impression it was basically all but approved. However the paperwork they gave said it had been refused.

Is this just because they need to get those last pieces or is there a whole other process now? They kept his passport and I'm not sure what that means. Will we need to go down to London again for another interview process?

I'm just overwhelmed and confused. Any and all help would be appreciated! Thank you all so much for your help so far. I was really hoping this would be the end of it...

Edit: On the letter, only submission of additional evidence is checked. Additional administrative processing is not.

I think things will be ok. The visa is refused to be issued until you get them the additional paperwork needed from his GP. However, I thought medicals have to be done by USPHS approved Physicians not personal GPs

It was, however his GP apparently gave an incomplete medical history summary (an issue he mentioned on his questionnaire wasn't on it and I didn't realise). So they've requested the additional paperwork from his GP as a formality so they can finish it, and his GP have just sat on their hands instead of sending the paperwork.

Normally the GP is not involved, presumably there is a specific issue.

He was on antidepressants for a couple of years after being hit by a bus. Which seems really random but the muscular damage pretty much threw how whole life out of whack for a while and it messed with him. He put this in his questionarre but it wasn't in the report. The discrepancy needed to be sorted out.
