Hi VJ'ers,

Thank you for taking a second to read this. I'm helping my brother (USC) complete the CRBA checklist of requirements to bring his daughter to the US from the Philippines. I have a question about the requirement for this:

"Please provide a notarized copy of the U.S. citizen’s passport (all pages) in lieu of the original. (Note: Documents should be notarized by a U.S. commissioned notary or U.S. consular officer). Flight records and/or entry and exit records from a country may also be helpful."

I'm aware that they're emphasizing "all pages" but what's the most economical way of doing this? My brother is a dual citizen and has been using his US and Philippines passport...to notarize all pages of both passports seems a bit extravagant. (My notary guy hasn't seen anything like this and believes it's unreasonable to notarize blank pages in a passport.)

Thanks for your input in advance!

May sound and be extragant but it is requirement so immigration sees there are no visits to terrorist countries for training

blank pages are just as imporant (they are numbered) as pages to see countries visited

cheapest way

scan several pages (like 4 or what fits) to one 8 x 11 sheet of paper (use front and back and get as many as you can on a paper )

take both passporst to the notary for proof of the copies and get them notarzed

you have no choice but to do this as asked / i found myself doing things i figured were stupid as i was asked (like a copy of my dad's death certificate gone 20 years and an affidait saying i told my mommy i would marry him and i am well over 40) and did them all
