yeah see i think that's the kicker. i use a jetpack for three home computers. this is why my internet usage is so tight..we don't go through 30GBs on just our two cell phones. i work pretty much every weekend from home.

eta: see..2G speeds i can't connect remotely to work..i can't do that at 3G

Tell you what... transfer one of your phone lines over to my plan.  See if the slower speeds will work for you when we hit the cap.  That way you don’t lose your plan, and you can see if unlimited will work for you.  I think it will.  Haven’t been unable to do anything with my phone that I normally do, even when it slows down.  And if you don’t like it, switch your phone back to your plan and know that unlimited won’t work for you.  No risk.  I have one open line on my plan for you of you want it.

that's nice of you, but i don't think you understand my dilemma. my cell and home internet use the same data. getting consistent service on my phone isnt the issue, its the wifi/hotspot for home internet. the unlimited plan goes to 2g after 10gb on the hotspot. won't work, thanks though.

The offer stands if you want to try it.  We share a plan with my brother.  They use hotspot I think; not really sure how she uses so much to get into the throttled data speeds, but she does.  So if you want to try it and see, feel free.

 

I am very impatient and non-forgiving of slow internet.  My company (Spectrum) recently took us from 20 Mbps to 100 Mbps (just tested a while ago, got 117 down, and 12 up) without charging us any extra.  Happy right now.  But would switch in a heartbeat if something goes awry.

 

Sorry about your internet woes.  Really sucks that it’s just down the road apiece to great speeds.  Sorry kiddo.
