SECURITY CLEARANCE ISLAMABAD NOW WHAT?

I called the DOS yesterday they told me that my clearance is done about 14 days ago and the embassy should need to contact you. They ask me if the embassy have contacted you i said no . Then they told me that i should e-mail them . so i e-mail the embassy i got the same response from them " your case is still pending under administrative process we will contact you as this process complete .............................. " How come DOS is saying that they have completed the clearance and embassy is supposed to contact me. I donot know what to do ? me , my wife and our 4 kids are losing all the hopes and my wife is on depression medication for the past 6 months. It seems like we are running after the shadow. We are all breaking down in this process. I dont know any way out? My wife and kids are sepreted from me almost more than 4 years now. I am missing my kids a lot. please share your input .

AP is also an internal investigation on some cases. It could be that they are reissuing the security checks or they will do a field investigation. All you can do is to wait out this processing. Several others going thru Islamabad have gotten reports all cleared to only be put back on AR/AP and back into security checks.

My fiance's interview was Dec. 14/06.

He was put on AP. On 1/9/07 DOS told me the case was completed and back at the embassy.

I emailed the embassy and they emailed back with the same canned response.....AP not complete.

I called DOS back and asked why I was told it was complete, the agent said I don't know why you

were told that, it was incorect ....case still in AP ...... going on 5 month now.

I call DOS about 2-3 times a month and email the embassy 1-2 times a month so we won't fall

through the crack.
