CSC Slow?

Did biometrics in Philly yesterday. I arrived 30 minutes early. There was no one in line. After I put my name on the paper, I took it up, and was immediately taken to the back. Had my photo taken and prints checked. In and out in less than 5 minutes. Could not ask for them to be more friendly! They were truly great.

We sent our I-751 to VSC on 1/29, they received it on 1/30. 

 

We have yet to hear anything (check not cashed, no rejection, etc..).  I called USCIS today and got to tier 2 but they told me they couldnt do anything until the check was cashed.  Is there anything else I can do to follow up or do we just need to wait and keep checking the bank account every day?

Yea, definitely keep checking everyday... Maybe even AM, lunch, and PM. Start printing a duplicate copy of your application so it is ready to resend. Also get new original affidavits of support. Is your GC expired?

 Argh! This is the absolute worst, I'm sorry. I think there are a couple of others on this thread who this has happened to, @brampower being one I think! (Correct me if I am wrong). 

 

I concur with what pizzajourney has said. I know it's a tremendous nuisance but at least you know what to send and how to send it this time. So frustrated for you! Such wild incompetence on USCIS' part.

Worse,  both my wife and step-son's greencard is expired.  My wife also had to go out of country because her mother was in ICU after heart problems during dialysis. She ended up staying past her GC expiration because her mom was not recovering. Her mom has since passed. 

 

Now I'm critically waiting on the 767 just to get her back in country. If it wasn't for that I honestly wouldnt care that much about the delay.

Today we called USCIS Customer Service center to inquire about the Biometrics appointment, they submitted an inquiry for us and gave us a confirmation number. Said we should hear something within the next 30 days and to call back if we don't, let's see

Don't worry guys. I have been in the slow boat before. This time I seem to be in the average boat. Just try to stay patient during regulatory wait times... at that point, call USCIS and explain the problem. When I did this in the past, I got a fair RFE dated 2 days after my phone call. Imagine people who don't use these timelines - their anxiety must be much worse!

Next week it will be 50 days since NOA date. What do I say when I call CSC? Is the right number to call the one in the NOA, 800-375-5283? Should I wait 60 days to call them?

I called them today (36 days since the NOA date) and said I hadn't received any communication around my biometrics. I called the 800-375-5283 number and the lady I spoke to seemed to want confirmation that it had been 30 days since I had heard anything, so they seem to take the call if it's been 30 days.

 

The lady was very polite (but also pretty robotic and formal) and said I may not hear back for 15-30 days and not to call back until 30 days had passed.

 

I struggled to get through to someone at first, the key is to not put in a receipt number and select the option saying that you've lost it, they'll connect you through to some fairly quickly.

We called today and it's been ~ 50 days - that's the number we called - I think anything past 30 days really and you can call them

I called on Monday regarding the same thing. They say the exact same, if within 30 days I don't have a respond then for me to call them again.

Does it happen to any of you that after the fingerprints were collected, the USCIS case tracking website still says case and fees received?? No updates at all?
