Absolutely do single sided printing.

I tried to search here, the form instructions and the USCIS form filing tips page specifically doesnt mention single/double sided printing at all.  Has anyone gotten an RFE due to 2x sided printing?

My conditional green card expires on Feb. 9. I mailed them the petition today. I am a little nervous. The documents I added are : marriage certificate, documents when we bought our house, birth certificate of our daughter, ss numbers, proof of life insurance, house insurance documents and pictures with family. Is that enough proof of our marriage?

Statements from joint checking/savings accounts?

Listed as beneficiaries on each others health insurances?

Taxes? (assuming you did, i just didn't see it in your list)

Bills listed in both your names?

Basically they want stuff that shows joint finances and shared financial responsibility, shared residence, and joint lives so anything you can think of that shows that...

You've already sent the stuff so there's no going back. Just cross your fingers that it's enough for them. They'll let you know if they want to see something else

Best of luck -- though it might be prudent to begin gather documents in anticipation (hopefully not!) of an RFE.

USCIS typically wants to see documents that show that you 1) cohabit (caution: having a joint mortgage on its own does not necessarily mean you live together, as you may simply be co-investors in a real-estate deal); comingle finances, 3) share life together, and 4) plan for the future as a married couple from the date of marriage to the present, so you might have some difficulty gathering such documents to respond to an RFE one year or longer from the present. You can use the following post as a guide:

I just mailed my I-751 in today, so I guess I count as a January filer. GC expires 04/28/2018.

Going to the Vermont service center, will be there by Friday. Fingers crossed!

To add to my last post (since for some reason it doesn't let me edit it), unfortunately I only added my most recent bank statement... I am now reading that I should have added statements from throughout our marriage. Hope that's not going to cause too much trouble. I added a bunch of other proof, but it does worry me.

I mailed my packet on 1/22, received by VSC on 1/24, and check was cashed yesterday 1/30. Waiting for NOA

I also didn't know about single sided printing and for bank statements I just went to the bank to get them so they are all double sided, same for insurance polices since I gave original copies ( we have multiple copies all state just keeps sending us more lol), oh well..fingers crossed!

Seems a little low on the financial co-mingling evidence - marriage certificate, ssn numbers and pictures don't really count for anything. You'll find out if the the processing officer is happy with your docs, but I would mentally prepare myself for a RFE and collect joint tax returns at the very least.

Seems a little low on the financial co-mingling evidence - marriage certificate, ssn numbers and pictures don't really count for anything. You'll find out if the the processing officer is happy with your docs, but I would mentally prepare myself for a RFE and collect joint tax returns at the very least.

Buying a house together is the mother of all financial co-mingling. That along with having a kid and I think they'll be fine. Kids and houses are the holy grail.
