You do biometrics well before the petition is adjudicated.

Ah earlier in the process getting the bio appt was a bigger milestone and closer to that finish.  Thx

I have deduced, based on the current thread that we all might get our 10years earlier than we're anticipating; that's if we did our home work very well and no RFEs.

HELP!

I know sending the correct I-751 edition is incredibly important. I'm ready to print mine out to send, along with everything else, this week.

But i noticed this today on the website:

"12/05/17.  Starting 02/19/2018, we will only accept the 12/05/17 edition.  Until then, you can use the 12/23/16 edition. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and instructions."  https://www.uscis.gov/i-751

The ONLY I-751 Form right now on the gov web site is dated: 12/05/17. There is no  12/23/16  edition.

Am I reading this wrong...? But my understanding from that paragraph is that they will accept the 12/05/17 edition only STARTING 02/19/18. They won't accept it before? But they don't offer any other options apart from the 12/05/17 one... How am I supposed to get the old 12/23/16 edition if they don't even offer it? I need to send my stuff ASAP!! I can't wait until 02/19/2018...it would be cutting it too close for me! Am I going nuts here?! Am I reading into it wrong?

Please Someone haaalp!! Going nuts here!

Relax, you are reading it wrong. Your quote is clear but you juxtapose the words in paraphrasing.  Read the words in the order they are presented with the punctuation is clear. You inverting the statement ambigufies the meaning.  Its clear the intent of this is, after this mandate date we will require the latest version which is 12/17, however until they we will still permit versions up to 12/16 age.

This doesn't even make sense as you're always encouraged here and directly on their site to use the latest available version from USCIS why would they post a version early and not accept  yet?

Agreed.  It's advisable to always use the current version of the form.

Good morning and happy Monday ! I was being quite inpatient (😂) and called VSC about my husband’s case as we haven’t heard anything yet. No check cleared (personal ). A member answered the phone quickly and was polite but she couldn’t even confirm whether or not the packet was received or anything . As usual they quote the 30 day rule . I don’t understand it , to be given such a short time frame (until staid is void ), why would They make you wait 30 days for something ?!
