I know this is probably such an in the air question; But at which stage of the i751 is the background check done? I called and was able to speak to a Tier2 officer this morning. She opened up my application from her end and said "I'm currently looking at your app and everything is looking good, we are in the final stage of the Background check now". Does that mean after that then it goes to officer review of the next thing is being approved/rfe? I guess I could have asked but I was just a very relieved to hear at least my file wasn't locked up in a cupboard somewhere.

Just got a notice today that my new card id being processed.  Am I approved ? I mean it's not saying you application is approved but a card is produced..?  anyway

Filed on Jan 27th 2018. Received 18 month extension letter in Aug 2018. I did not apply for citizenship. Couldnt log on to my old acct but same user name.

I received a tracking number from USCIS email and on the case status website, I'm surprised that they actually mail my card real fast. Unlike other poster, there is no NOA before the greencard for me.

This morning, USPS sent me an email notice (I subscribed to it) and its on the way today.

So ultimately, it took me 4 days after approval to receive the card.

 

@Pikachu Babe @mrandmrsBRS Just my opinion, I feel that it will most likely be beneficial if both of you can provide the latest tax returns, so while waiting for the RFE letter, mind as well prepare those by printing them out. The other documents can wait I guess. 

 

@mosood Congrats to you however, I do not seem to have your information on the list, would appreciate if you can help us by providing full details of your I751 submission.

@Nele @bruceanbessie Could you also provide us your details?

I have a ton of new and old evidence I’ll mail them. Is there a difference between tax transcripts and the tax return??

Yes, tax transcript is the official one from the IRS. It by itself confirms that your tax returns have been filed and processed by the IRS.  That is what USCIS prefers.

If you have an account on IRS.gov, you can do that.  2018 transcripts should also be ready for download if you have filed electronically at least 3-4 weeks ago.
