Today morning I got this email from USCIS "We have taken an action on your case"...and I had to drive super fast to my workplace to open the new USCIS website to see the update but the update was "your name was updated".. I just don't know how to react.. Is it a good sign that someone looking into my case or will it take more long to give another update. 6 months back I applied for name adjustment and it took this long to update. More waiting to go!!!!

Just quietly waiting for any 2/5 transfers to say they've gotten approved, then i know I'm officially giving up and not tracking my case for the next 3months.

😄 I do remember my attorney applied for name adjustment in Sept 2018 and its nearly 7 months. I can see how slow they are working on each case LOL.

Woke up this morning from text and emails. Old site no change. Email texts said action taken on case. That was it. Logged on said approved and they mailing notice and follow instructions?

that doesn’t seem to match your card is being produced everyone else got?  Long time ago we requested name update cause some reason through all this never a problem til now and they used wife’s maiden name on the NoA and we wanted avoid card issues down the road later so we immediately told them

Did you see approved in your account? I hoping to something like that. My case is in CSC from past June 2018. I hope you get your cards soon.

I can't say for sure whether this update is due to your name adjustment, but I will share that my husband received same notice in early March from USCIS about updating name and a week later another update email and text notification that birth date was updated. We had no real understanding what this meant. However, within the same week a third notification came to us that the card was in production (March 15) and GC received in the mail a week later. Our wait totaled around 15 months. When we received the name and  birthdate notification, I combed through this forum in search of any indication of what exactly does "name updated" could possibly indicate. I located two members here that posted exactly the same name and birthdate notices from the USICS and within a month's time they too had received their approval notices. So, with that said, I sincerely hope and wish that this is the case with you as well. Best of luck and fingers crossed.

After 15 months...my case status changed to " new card is being produced".  Finally!!! 

It's changed on April 3rd. They received my I-751 petition on 1/22/2018. I got 18 month extension notice on 8/11/2018, And my case was transferred to Nebraska on 2/6/2019 from CSC. 

Good luck everyone......
