I received a notification via email 3 days ago about my new card being produced. I checked the case tracker app, and it reflected the same, and so did the old USCIS website. This is the message per both the email and case tracker app:

"On February 11, 2019, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number WAC18097XXXXX, and will mail it to the address you gave us."

The new website https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ is still showing the last update as "Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction" from June 18, 2018. Not sure what the deal is.

I will notify you all if I do receive my new green card within the next couple of weeks - fingers crossed! :)

Once I get the new GC I will file the N-400 with the most recent tax returns.

@starsky , does this site help with the transfer timeline question? https://www.uscis.gov/workload-transfers

It says "If we transfer your case, we will send you a transfer notice. Your receipt number will not change, and the transfer will not delay the processing of your case."

However, it does go on to say: "If you do not receive a decision on your case within the published processing time for the new service center, you may submit an inquiry online or call the USCIS Contact Center at 800-375-5283." So that seems to indicate that our average processing time has changed, and thus our expected time has changed.

Not sure whether this helps, or even if I believe much of what they say at this point, but figured I'd share. Thank you for all your work on this.

@mrandmrsBRS - that is why they post the timeframe that is so long to factor in these potential transferred.  Judged by its own published timeframe, they would say 19.5 months is still NORMAL, and you are not delayed.

Number manipulations by USCIS. Tired of it.

I was wondering if someone could explain the last 4 digits of the case numbers to me. And if they mean anything about date received?

The reason I am asking is because I just did a search in the app, narrowed it down to I-751. Going by the last 4 digits of our case number, the I-751 case directly before us and the case directly after us have "case has been transferred and new office as jurisdiction." But our case still just says "at this time USCIS cannot provide info" on the old site and "case received January 25, 2018" on the new site.

Should I assume we got transferred too and the websites just don't reflect updates for us or is our case still just sitting in California?

Thanks!

The last 4 digits are just a counter.  Cases are entered by several contractors at the same time, and mutilple forms are entered at the same time.  So WAC18XXXX1001 and WAC18XXXX1002 may or may not both be I-751.

But I narrowed it down to strictly I-751s. So the one before us and after us are 751s.
