The notice says that they have completed a preliminary review of the application. As part of standard process, they are transferring to Nebraska Service Center that has jurisdiction over this case. And they will inform us when they make a decision or if they need additional information.

This is my observation: A few cases have been reported from October 2017 to January 2018 that they have received a similar letter (wordings verbatim) about their cases being transferred to Nebraska Service Center.  At this point, there is not much to report.  There was a big batch that got transferred to NSC early in 2018 (and USCIS made the announcement about it here https://www.uscis.gov/workload-transfers), but it sounds like your wife's case was just transferred recently, so it is a bit surprising to hear.  Maybe there is another transfer of I-751 coming up and yours is part of this upcoming, not yet announced.

My application is the same. Applied to CSC Jan 12, 2018. Did not apply for N400. Biometrics appointment waived and previous biometrics used.

Heard nothing till last week and today received the letter confirming my case has been transferred to Nebraska from CSC. Processing times at Nebraska are reported as longer than CSC which is frustrating, and many cases around my receipt number are noted as 'approved'. FYI my case number is WAC18073XXXXX

Mine was transferred from California to Nebraska which has a much longer processing time. I'm BEYOND frustrated and confused as to what the reasoning is and am hoping it's a mistake. This makes no sense.

Have not yet applied for N400, case was received Jan. 17 2018, biometrics were waived, case number starts with WAC1807....

03/02/2015: filed I-129F at the USCIS Texas

03/13/2015: received confirmation (Form I-797), file will now get routed to the USCIS California Service Center for processing. We wait :)

Another month has passed with little movement...13 months+ now - at least I got my DL renewed with the 18 month letter.

None of the case numbers around my case are trackable - all show "USCIS cannot provide updates at this point" - so I can't figure out if there is any movement at all.

Chiming in and adding myself to previous posts of case status transfers. We received in yesterday's mail the hard copy letter that our case has been transferred from CSC to the USCIS in Nebraska center. The letter comes in the mail exactly a week after having received text and email notifications that out case was transferred at 'my local office' and 'case was transferred and a new office has jurisdiction'.  All notifications were noted in both the new and old USCIS sites, maybe within a day of each other.

I feel like we have to wait even longer now. I heard that Nebraska is even slower than California. I’m so frustrated.

Those of you curious how the month after you are fairing, I do publish a regularly updated tracking table in the February 2018 filers thread that might be a useful guiding stick.

As of today, we're running at 22% of California filers are approved. Another 16% (and growing) are transferred to Nebraska. No traction reported at all from any Vermont filer at this time.

The biggest question in our group (seems reflected in here, too) is the timeline impact of being transferred. Whether this resets the clock and we join the back of the line at NSC or if we get slotted into a "fast pass" line. Definitely seeking insights from anyone with knowledge or researched opinion to help ease concerns in our group.

I really hope that the transfer dies not mean I have to wait even longer. But at this point I wouldn’t be surprised..

Hi Everyone,

I just checked my husband's ROI status and it still shows Case was received as of 1/24/2018.  I am getting worried that something is wrong with what we submitted because there are some people here who have submitted after us have already received their green card .  My husband's receipt number is WAC180795****

Thank you for the timeline and analysis of recent movement and commenting on the multitude of petitioners case transfers. Our confusion lies in the inconsistent wording from all types of notifications from USCIS. Emails state 'initial review', and this recent letter states 'preliminary review'. Other notifications state 'local office' only to turn around and send a follow-up notification that another office has jurisdiction, as in Nebraska, which is far (literally) from being our local office in Florida. We believe that these notifications via email or text or my case status tracking are somehow systematically disjointed and it wouldn't surprise us if our file continues in California. Nevertheless, any further insight is much appreciated in bringing some comforting reassurance that we did not get sent to the back of the line. At this point in the long wait, we are hanging on to any glimpse of positive movement.
