I also applied at vermont January 19. Eac 1808151... i do not see being approved anyof case

There is a different between EAC180815, and EAC180810.  The 6th digit indicate a different filing date.

EAC180810XXXX is a filing date of December 20, 2017

EAC180815XXXX is “roughly” a filing date of January 23, 2018 (+/-3 days).

EAC now only has some movements up to about the first week of January 2018.  Yours is still after that, chronologically.

My case is EAC1807751XXX with NOA1 date of 1/19/2018.

I think someone may have told me that when decoding the case number, that the first 2 digits are the year, and the second 3 digits are the day of year... beginning from October 1. (Start of fiscal year for USCIS) ?

So for my case, EAC18077 represents 01/17 (which is the day after USCIS received my application).

EAC180810 and EAC180815 should both represent around 1/21?

I am sure you are not the first person to hope for them to work faster, but the sad truth is, “they don’t care.”

Since the agency (USCIS) is fee funded, its ability to spend any fee we paid should be tied to the number of processed cases.

Strictly speaking from accounting perspective, it (the agency) should not be able to spend the fee received from us until the service is fully rendered.

Do you like have idea how long they take to finish one month case because mine is at the end of the month.

At least i am happy that they have start January

Nobody knows.  I only know so much that cases get queued up in the system and assigned to each adjudicator by their respective supervisor.  Then however long it takes an adjudicator to process the cases assigned to them, that is the part nobody knows.

Yes, that is correct.  But the 6th digit (either 0 or 5) is to indicate how they count from October 1.

They switched to a new system in 2018 of counting and beginning early in January 2018, they only issue receipt with only 5 in the 6th digit.  So if the 6th digit is not the same number, the filing date cannot be compared.

Then late in 2018, they change it again, but that is irrelevant to us because it is beyond our period of interest.

Ahh, I wasn't aware, thanks for clarifying!

hi everyone

today we received a notice in mail that my wife's case has been transferred to Nebraska's center. Do you know if this is normal and how long more it can take?

We filed in 01/18 2018 and she only applied for I-751.

[Edited] Her case was originally at the California center with a WAC receipt number

amisa - what is your wife's receipt number WAC18XXXX (first 6 digits)?  And does the notice explain anything other than the fact that the case has been transferred to NSC?

WAX1807650

The notice says that they have completed a preliminary review of the application. As part of standard process, they are transferring to Nebraska Service Center that has jurisdiction over this case. And they will inform us when they make a decision or if they need additional information.
