Hi!

I checked the receipt numbers around mine today (EAC180835XXXX) and there are a bunch of cases approved just before mine, and there are also a bunch of cases with decisions after mine. It seems like cases with decisions and without decisions are all mixed together in the timeline. Does anyone know why? My case status says fingerprint review was completed in Apr 2018 by the Albany field office, and nothing more afterwards. Does Vermont service center do the review or each individual field office does? I am so confused.

Thanks!

Don’t be confused 😐, am also EAC still says we received your case ...... nothing els.

Most people that filed in Vermont are still seeing same thing.

and people that filed with CSC also saw same thing but have been approved. Stop checking and give it time. Take your mind off it. For me I have programmed my mind so I dont talk or think 🤔 abt it. Because when I do I get frustrated and confused 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Yeah I checked the new app and it says the same! I guess we're just stuck waiting for something. Meanwhile, Biometrics for Citizenship on Monday! Our local office is processing cases within 8 months, so hopefully this is just the final stretch.

Not sure if anyone noticed this, but I hope to see USCIS take action on this soon.

I am a professor and I have analyzed the data myself too.  USCIS publishes quarterly reports and if you just glance over real quick, you will see that the backlog grows very fast while the increase in number of applications does not support the backlog.  It agrees with this article you just posted.

Reasonable explanations for it to happen that way (backlog up faster than case intake):

1. Fewer adjudicators (USCIS said they increased workforce by 38%)

2. Much much more complex factor in every single case filed since 2016 (unlikely)

3. Leaving case unadjudicated to slow down the process on purpose and shift workforce to do something else (very likely)

4. Not working at all (also likely)

Some people would say some of us are impatient, but when the agency is funded by the fees WE PAID to adjudicate the cases WE FILED.

Is it not reasonable to expect a reasonable wait time?  15-19.5 months (and longer for some) on I-751 adjudication is unacceptable.

No rhyme or reason for February 2018s to be adjudicated while August 2017s haven't heard a peep about their cases.

Well US Immigration process is the worst in any imaginable way. You pay very expensive fees and yet you are treated as if you are a fraud or even sometimes terrrorist if not, and the worst of the worst, you will have to wait long time enough without making legitimate complaints. Even Mexican drug cartel does not operate in this kind of procedures...

I meant it all depends on how one views the world but is there really something called American Dream? My cent goes there is nothing like American Dream. Yet USCIS is very proud of its work arguing that US Immigration benefit is one of the most precious privileges, not a right.

Im at least glad soon USCIS will publish 4th quarter of 2018 and hopefully backlog goes away in all forms
