Hope you hear your approval soon. I looked up at the n400 application and it seems very tedious. Just looking at it makes me anxious and nervous again. Lol. But I trust God everything will be alright.

I already started my N400. Just needed to upload a few documents then hit apply. lolz

Finally got my approval in the mail today. I was confused as to why they send two approval notices. This had me thinking,  was this a glitch with all the recent approvals when we still have folks from December and November still waiting?  I was reassured when I saw another notice that I am due for N400 interview on Feb. 11. Mind you, I applied for Citizenship since July of 2017 and sat interview in March of 2018. IO told me he could not adjudicate because I still had my 751 pending. I am excited that all is falling in place.

Good for you - I think in your case the N-400 actually sped up the I-751 - good local office I suppose, as no other VSC filers have had approvals here...

Wait, so you applied for the citizenship in July 2017, but you filed for I-751 in January 2018?  Did I get something wrong here?

No, You are not missing anything. By July 2017, I was 3 years married to the citizen but less than 2 years a permanent resident. I got married but was reluctant to file for paper works because I had something else working for me  under another status.

Understood, and thank you so much for sharing.  Hopefully your N-400 approval comes through any minute now.

Not to worry you or I may have less understanding of your scenario. I am confused as I am under assumption that one of the requirements for naturalization is to be a permanent resident for at least 3 years not from the date of marriage.

Yes. I have the same confusion like you. For what I know you have to be at least 2 year and  9 months of a permanent resident to apply citizenship if you married us citizen spouse. It said very clean on uscis website.

I think you guys are mixing up the rules. The Rule is 3 years married to the US Citizen and two years Permanent Resident.  I was three years married to but less than two years a permanent resident. While Applying for Citizenship, I made it clear that I met one of the requirements and didn't meet the other. I believed if USCIS had issues with my application, they would have denied it and send it back.

Hi. Sorry to correct you again. Im sure we were not mixed anything. You can search all the conditions for apply us citizenship through marriage on google and on uscis website  showed very clear that you have to at least 3 years of Permanent resident not 3 years married. However you got all set 🤷‍♂️

My green card supposed to be delivered today. But due to weather usps doesn't deliver mails today and probably tomorrow too. I wanted to submit N400. I have to wait a little bit longer. 😞
