Awesome :) yes i'm pretty much still sure I got my package from the 751 so that'll help tremendously, haha

i saw your post btw about not yet filing your 2018 return.. we're in the same boat, although i'm filing taxes sooner than your March one. I'll probably just supplement it soon as I get filed. Thank you again!

I'm glad it was helpful! Good luck with everything 😀

Hello all,

I have not been keeping track in this forum, so I am posting in December 2017 and January 2018 filers for I-751. Anyways, we filed our I-751 in either end of December 2017 or January 2018, and received a letter extending his conditional resident status for one year (until 1/30/19). Did anyone else get only a one year extension? I have been seeing a majority of people have gotten an 18month extension. His application is being processed through Vermont Service Center. He already did biometrics but we haven't heard anything else yet. Did anyone else get an additional extension after the one year extension? I submitted an inquiry online through the USCIS website, is there anything else we can do to extend his status? His job is already aware his status will expire and said they will have to terminate him if he doesn't get any new documentation. Would it be worth it to make an appointment at a field office?

Hi, I just started a new position with my I-751 pending and they only asked for my DL which expires in 2020 and my SSN, I have no restrictions on it. I hope this helps.

We filed first week of Jan 2018, also Vermont. We just got the 1 year. Never got the 18 month extension.

What does your case status say online? Ours is stuck on fingerprints reviewed.

Case status says "Case Was Received At My Local Office" on Feb 25 2018. Nothing about fingerprints, which he did already last year. We were able to make an appointment at our local field office and they stamped his foreign passport to extend for another year.

March 2014: met while I was on a study abroad trip in Ecuador & kept in contact with each other after I left

August 2014: visit to Ecuador

November 12 2014: sent I-129f

November 17 2014: I-129f received (Texas Service Center)

November 20 2014: received electronic NOA1

November 24 2014: received hard copy NOA1 in mail

December 2014: visited Ecuador again...officially engaged on 12/12/14!

March 2015: visit to Ecuador for Spring Break

June 10, 2015: NOA2 text/email notification

How much was it to do that?

Thanks! He was able to get I551 stamp on his foreign passport to extend for another year. His job told us with his SSN and driver's license alone were not enough to authorize him for employment since he is not a U.S. citizen. They do it electronically, so idk? His employer is a hospital.

For I551 stamp? We didn't have to pay anything, I had to request an appointment by calling USCIS and waited for them to call me back and schedule an appointment. They said it would take about 48-72 hours for them to call back but we were fortunate enough to receive a call and make the appointment for that same day! If you search for your local office on USCIS website and it says that they do not take InfoPass appointments, you have to call the 800 number and request the appointment. You need to bring expired green card, extension letter, and foreign passport.

Additionally, the Foreign Passport cannot be expired.

They are wrong. But he has the stamp, so he’s good to go.
